It is true that not many people would consider themselves creative and not all who consider themselves creative nurture their natural talent. Arts and Design is one area that is certainly lacking in most Primary schools and High Schools in Kenya. Fortunately, the University of Nairobi offers B.A. Design (B05) through the School of the Arts and Design. B.A Design course requires students to complete a minimum of 56 units. In year 1, students are required to complete a total of 16 units. In year 2, they should undertake 17 units while in year 3 and year 4 they should cover 14 and 9 units respectively.

Fee Structure for B.A Design

The total sum expected at the end of the four years in tuition fee is Ksh 539,000. The sum is broken down as follows: Year 1 students are to pay a sum of Ksh 154,500; Year 2 students are to pay a sum of Ksh 157,500; Year 3 students are to pay a sum of Ksh 1333,500 and Year 4 students are to pay a sum of Ksh 93,500.

The University of Eldoret is one of the universities in Kenya that recently received an upgrade of status and an accompanying charter. The University of Eldoret was previously known as Chepkoilel University College in Kenya until mid-February 2013 when the president of Kenya then, Mwai Kibaki, gave the campus a charter to operate as a full-fledged university.

The history of the University of Eldoret in Kenya dates a while back. In 1946, the colonialists founded a large scale farmers training centre in Eldoret in Kenya. The training centre was then converted into a teachers training college in 1984 and renamed as Moi Teachers Training College in Kenya.

In 1990, Moi University in Kenya was overwhelmed by the double intake and took up the teachers training as one of its campuses. The teachers training college was then renamed to Chepkoilel campus in Eldoret. Moi University Chepkoilel Campus in Kenya mainly offered natural sciences as well as both basic and applied science related disciplines.

The Chepkoilel campus was then upgraded into a constituent college of Moi University in 2010 as per legal notice 125. The Chepkoilel constituent college of Moi University then gained university status in 2013.

Try to tag those videos with an eye catching description as this will help drive people to your videos from the searches.

Thirdly, build an audience in order to increase monetization. You need people to watch your videos in order to make any money off them. There is no secret to getting more subscribers, just make the best content that you can and they will come to you through watching these high quality videos. Building your audience can also be done by hooking and sending videos not only to YouTube but to other sites such as Twitter and Facebook which will make people know about you. You should also interact with your viewers and subscribers by responding to their comments and making of occasional videos directly related to viewers’ comments and questions. Connecting with your community will bring more people to join your community on YouTube.

Fourthly, you need to monetize your video or contents in order to start earning money on the content you upload to YouTube. Monetization means that you allow YouTube to place ads in your content and also that there is no copyright material in your video. To monetize a video as it uploads, click the monetization tab and check the “monetize with ads” box. You can as well monetize after the video has been uploaded by opening the video manager and click the $ sign next to the video that you want to monetize.

Fifthly, to receive any revenue that you make from your videos, you need to set up Google AdSense for free at the Google AdSense website. Click the sign up button to begin creating your account. However, you must be 18 years or older to create an account but the young ones can create their own accounts but with assistance from an adult. Therefore, you need either PayPal or a bank account and a valid email address so AdSense can verify who you are and who to send the money to. Money is gained only per ad click and a smaller amount per view but it adds up with time which is the sole reason of having a larger audience.

Lastly, you should market your videos elsewhere not only in YouTube. You can even start a blog for sharing as the more views it gets, the better and through that you gain more money. For more access to other important tools, you need to become a YouTube partner. This are members who have monetized videos with a large number of viewers. They therefore gain more access to more content creation tools, and can win prizes for the number of viewers they have. You can apply for partnership at any time through the partner page. However, you need to have a 15,000 cumulative watch hours for your channel over the last 90 days in order to successfully be a YouTube partner.

High Rental Costs

Self sponsored students are charged huge costs by landlords making it very difficult for them to cope up with the high cost of living. The challenge can be overcome by simply one sharing costs with a friend or someone that can be trusted. Sexual Harassment

Diploma in Banking and Finance is also offered under this department in regular, evening and weekend class basis. The course require a KCSE mean Grade of C with a minimum of C- (minus) in Mathematics and English or a relevant certificate in a related field with at least a PASS.

Bachelor of Commerce is an undergraduate course that the department of Accounting and Finance offer to its enrolling students. For the successful admission to this career programme, a student should have attained at least a KCSE Mean grade of C+ (Plus) with at least a C+ (Plus) in Mathematics and English/Kiswahili or a Diploma from a relevant Field of Study. The tuition fee for the course is Ksh 60,000 per semester and it is offered in Regular, Evening and weekend Classes.

Master of Business Administration is one of the Postgraduate course offer under the Department of Accounting and Finance. This course mode of delivery is a School-based or Evening program basis. The requirement for the course is a first degree 2nd class Honours upper division or lower division but with at least two years of relevant experience. The charge is Ksh 65,000 per semester for 6 semesters for the Evening program and Ksh 45,000 per semester for 6 semester for the School-based program.

Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration is the highest level of the course offered by this department. They ensure that they equip the students with best research skills and enable them to be the most skillful in the field of expertize.
