South Eastern Kenya University offers various courses under the Department of Dry-land Agriculture to ensure that individuals are well acquainted with different agricultural methods. The South Eastern Kenya University offers various degree courses under the department of Dry-land Agriculture. These are:

  • Bachelor of Science in Agriculture

Admission requirements for the degree courses

Individuals who want to pursue degree courses under the department of Dry-land Agriculture should have obtained a KCSE mean grade of C+ (plus). The individuals should also have obtained a grade of C (plain) in Biology and in Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics/Physics Sciences. Individuals who have obtained a KCSE mean grade of C (plain) and have a diploma with at least a credit pass in Agriculture, Animal Science, Environmental Studies or a related subject are eligible to apply.

  • Diploma in General Agriculture

  • Diploma in Crop Protection

  • Diploma in Apiculture

Admission requirements for the diploma courses

Applicants who want to undertake diploma courses at the university should have obtained a minimum of KCSE mean grade of C (plain). In addition, the individuals should have obtained a minimum grade of C- (minus) in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics/Physics/Physical Science. Individuals who have obtained a KCSE mean grade of C- (minus) and who have a certificate in a relevant program can also apply.

Certificate programs

South Eastern Kenya University offers Certificate in General Agriculture under its department of Dry-land Agriculture. Individuals who want to undertake the course should have obtained a minimum of KCSE mean grade of D+ (plus).
