EACC Director of Investigations John Lolkoloi said continued partnership with the FBI has expanded capacity through specialised training, technical assistance, modern investigative tools and intelligence sharing. “Corruption, money laundering and illicit financial flows are transnational crimes that require strong international cooperation,” he said, adding that EACC wants deeper collaboration on emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and digital forensics as well as asset recovery. FBI representatives Samuel Newlin-Haus and Andreas Aguirre attended the opening and framed the cooperation as mutually beneficial for complex corruption and financial-crime cases, arguing that institutions cannot win alone. Also present were EACC–FBI liaison officer Mulki Umar, Upper Eastern Regional Deputy Manager Dr Agosta Mecca, Central Regional Deputy Manager Grace Omweri and other officers.
