Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) posted a decisive result in the Ol Kalou by-election, a contest watched nationally as a mood test for Mt Kenya politics after realignments around Rigathi Gachagua’s camp.
Winners framed the outcome as a popular endorsement. At the same time, party figures condemned what they called “police goonism,” alleging intimidation that security chiefs deny or promise to investigate.
