Kenyatta University is a public university in Kenya that aims to enhance access to higher education for students from Kenya. For them to achieve this, they have announced scholarships for both undergraduate and postgraduate students for the coming academic year (2014/2015).
There are total of 120 scholarships chances; 100 for undergraduate while 20 are meant for postgraduate students (master’s programmes). The scholarship for undergraduate students is categorized into three parts; orphans and vulnerable students (OVS), sports scholarships and scholarships for performing arts. 90 scholarships are given to OVS, five to those talented in music, fine arts and theatre arts and final five is given to those who are talented in sports.
Requirements for the application of scholarships (for undergraduate).

Applicant should have obtained a mean grade of C+ (Plus) from Kenya certificate of secondary education (KCSE) in 2012 or 2013.

The applicant should have applied for admission in Kenyatta University.

Applicant must show evidence of being needy or talented.
There are usually special considerations especially to students are orphans and those coming from marginalized part of Kenya.
How to apply for the scholarship in Kenyatta University.
The first thing is to visit the website of Kenyatta University at www.ku.ac.ke. Then download the application form. You also visit the Financial Aid Office on Malagasy Crescent in Kenyatta University in the office number 16 so as to obtain the scholarship application form.
Once you finish filling the application form, it should be accompanied with copies of admission letter of Kenyatta University, relevant certificates, Kenyan identification card and reference letter. This should be returned before 27th June, 2014 and it should be taken to Kenyatta University Financial Aid Office.
