Dedan Kimathi University of Technology is a popularly known as Kimathi University College of Technology is a college established in 1978 to cater for a growing education need. First accredited in 2007, Kimathi University College attained the status of a full fledge chartered university in 2012. The school mainly offers courses in engineering, business and computer science. Entry requirements to Kimathi University College
A minimum aggregate grade of C+ in KCSE with a minimum of C+ in mathematics /physics, English, biology and chemistry for those who would like to pursue a degree program or a minimum of a C grade in KCSE coupled with a diploma in business technology or business related sciences from a recognized institution. For qualification of a diploma course, a minimum aggregate grade of a c plain, with at least a c plain in English and mathematics. The duration of degree courses takes a minimum of four years while the duration of diploma courses take a time period of between 18 months to two years.
