Impact Research and Development Organization is a health promoting nongovernmental organization. Its main office is located in Kisumu city at Milimani opposite Kenya Broadcasting cooperation.The organization designs as well as implement public health projects that are tailored towards helping thenvulnerable group-the youth and women the society.

IRDO has expanded its operations to various Counties in Kenya including West pokot, Turkana, Homabay, UasinGishu among others. Research in biomedical, clinica;l and behavioral studies are conducted by this organization in its areas of operations. He vision of the organization involve creating and sustaining healthy living standards among individuals with a mission of improving community health and development gains; through promotion of local and implementation of evidenced based public health projects at the same time conserving the limited resources.

The organization work to achieve its objectives at the same time maintains its core values such as accountability, transparency, professionalism and environmental friendliness. The main projects that the organization runs include community partnership; a project that is aimed at strengthening the youth and children, VMMC awareness targeting couples, Girl back to school projects, community activities and pilot intervention plans for roll-out of a pre-exposure prophylaxis clinical trial studies. Other projects include: HIV/AIDS widow inheritance, OkoaMaisha project, Male sexual health promotion program and HIV Counseling and Testing.

Impact Research and development organization is rapidly expanding organization with eight regional officersbinSiaya, Homabay, Migori, West Pokot, Turkana, UasinGishu and Kisumu Counties. Apart from public health promotion role, IRDO offers internship and volunteering opportunities to students pursuing health related courses across Kenya. This enable them acquire additional skills and experience in their various areas of specialization.
