The Technical University of Kenya specializes in providing various technological courses to Kenyan students. Under its School of Surveying and Geospatial Sciences, the Technical University of Kenya provides four courses. Three of these courses are Bachelor degree courses and one is a Diploma Course. The Bachelor courses provided are:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Geospatial Engineering

Bachelor of Engineering in Geospatial Engineering takes place over a period of thirteen (13) semesters. Students are required to pay a tuition fee of Ksh 90,000.00 per semester. Those who wish to undertake the course should have acquired a minimum of KCSE mean grade of C+ with a C+ in the following cluster of subjects: Maths/ Physics/ Chemistry and Biology.

  • Bachelor of Technology (Btech)

Individuals can also undertake the Bachelor of Technology course with options in Geoinformation Technology or Surveying Technology. Individuals who want take up the course should have a higher diploma in either Surveying Technology or surveying. The course takes place over a period of 6 semesters. However, TEP Diploma holders are required to cover the course over a seven semester period. The tuition fee per semester is Ksh 90,000.000.

  • Bachelor of Philosophy in Technology

The Technical University of Kenya offers Bachelor of Philosophy in Technology with options in Geoinformation Technology and Surveying Technology. Individuals pursuing the course are required to have a higher Diploma in Surveying or Surveying Technology. There are four semesters which take place within the evening. A tuition fee of Ksh 90,000.00 is paid each semester.

Apart from the degree courses, individuals can undertake Diploma in Technology with options in Geoinformation and Surveying. Individuals wishing to undertake the Diploma course should have acquired a minimum of KCSE mean grade of C- with a minimum of C- in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The Diploma course takes place over a period of 8 semesters with students required to pay a tuition fee of Ksh 36,000.00 per semester.
