In the department of health sciences, courses offered include; Diploma and certificate of Environmental science, Diploma and certificate in Nutrition and dietetics, this course equips the student with skills related to nutrition profession, entry requirement is grade C- or above and its duration is two years, Diploma and certificate in community nutrition. The exam body for these courses is Kenya National Examination council.

In the department of applied sciences, the courses offered include; Diploma in Applied Biology, in this course the students are prepared to know the interaction between organism in nature and manipulation of micro organism in the real world, the entry requirement for the course of applied Biology is a pass in any craft course and a mean grade of C- in KCSE, duration of the course is two years, Diploma and certificate of medical laboratory sciences, Diploma and certificate in laboratory technology. All the above courses in the department of applied sciences are examined by Kenya National Examination council.
