Ever since its establishment, Kiriri Women’s University of Science And Technology offers various degree and diploma courses intened to encourage women to become more business savvy. The following diploma courses are offered at the institution.

Diploma in Portfolio Management

Kiriri Women’s University has established Diploma in Portfolio Management course to demystify the stock market. The stock market is one area in the Kenyan market force that has few women due to its perceived difficulty. The program aims to enhance the needed skills relevant to tackle issues involved in the business. Individuals are required to cover six units, namely:

  • DPM 101 Financial Markets in Kenya

  • DPM 102 Financial Institutions in Kenya

  • DPM 103 Commercial Law

  • DPM 104 Principles of Accounting

  • DPM 105 Business Environments

  • DPM 106 Project Report and Presentation

Individuals wishing to pursue Diploma in Portfolio Management should have obtained a minimum of KCSE Mean grade of C (plain). Those with a certificate from a recognized institution can also apply.

Diploma in Business Administration

The Diploma in Business Administration course has been designed to enable individuals to have an extensive understanding and knowledge of various business practices. Kiriri Women’s University targets individuals who already have work experience or who have attained some knowledge via certificate courses. The course helps such individuals to enhance their business skills in a way that they can easily merge theory and practice. There are a total of 12 units to be undertaken and the course lasts a period of one year. Individuals pursuing the diploma course should have obtained a minimum of KCSE mean grade of C (plain).

Diploma in Information Communication Technology (ICT)

The Diploma in Information Communication Technology is designed to train multi-skilled professionals. Due to the convergence of computing and telecommunications, individuals trained in ICT have become valuable as far as the business market is concerned. Individuals trained in ICT will be able to demonstrate competence in areas such as:

  • Data Communication System

  • Distributed Computing Systems

  • Information systems Analysis and Design

  • Measurement and Fault diagnosis of Telecommunication system

  • Telecommunication Principles and Systems

Application Procedure for Diploma Courses

  • Individuals can obtain Application forms from the Admissions Office. Individuals should fill out the form completely and make sure to include:

  • Relevant result slips

  • Transcript(s) from College(s) attended.

  • School leaving certificate

  • 2 letters of reference one of which should be from the Head teacher / Principal of the High School / College attended and the other from a mature person who can vouch for you.

  • 3 recent passport sized photographs
