The University is located along Nakuru- Nyahururu highway 50 Kilometers from Nakuru and 11 Kilometers from Nyahururu town; it is located in the windward side of Subukia Escarpment in the Great Rift Valley. It is 8,500 feet above the sea level. The campus has Faculty of Education and Humanities and Development studies. There Degree, Certificate and Diploma Courses offered in the University.

Bachelor of Commerce

the degree takes a four year program me; it takes place at the center for continuing Education in Nyahururu town starting September, the program is full time. The requirements of joining this course is K.C.S.E mean grade of C+, a minimum of C+ in Mathematics, English and Kiswahili or a Diploma from a recognized institution with at least a Credit pass.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

the course takes a period of 2 years in the Center of Continuing Education in Nyahururu town; the intake is in the month of September with a full time mode of study. The requirements of joining Master of Business Administration is a Second class honors Upper Division in a related course of a Second class Honors Lower Division with at least two years’ work experience, a Degree with pass and at least 2 years working experience in a recognized company or institution.

Bachelor of Education (Arts)

the applicants of this course must have a K.C.S.E mean grade of C+ and a minimum grade of C+ in English, Kiswahili and two teaching subjects or a diploma in Education from a recognized institution. You will also qualify if you have 2 principles and one subsidiary pass in KACE. The program takes a period of 4 years full time.

  • Master of Education in Educational Management

the applicant of this course must have a minimum of Second Upper Class Honors Degree or its equivalent from a related subject from a recognized institution of higher learning. The learning programs are offered by course work, examinations and thesis. Certificate courses include;

Bridging course in Mathematics, Computer maintenance and repairs, Computer systems and applications, Purchasing and supplies management, Sales and Marketing, Accounting, KATC, CPA.

Diploma in Guidance and Counseling

the program takes 3 years in a School based program; the requirement is a K.C.S.E mean grade of C (plain).

Post Graduate Diploma in Education

the course is offered in full time and school based basis, the training takes a period of 1 year. The applicant must possess a minimum of Second Upper Class Honors Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning, the applicant also qualifies if they have a lower Second class Honors with two years working experience. The training program is offered through coursework, Examination and Thesis.

Application Procedure

The application forms can be obtained from the Admissions office in Laikipia Campus College and in all Egerton University Campuses and at the Nairobi office. The application fee is Ksh. 1,000 which is non-refundable for regular Certificates, Diploma and all Undergraduate and Post Graduate degree programs. All the payments should be made through Bankers Cheques payable to Egerton University, Laikipia Campus, they payment can also be deposited to any Co-operative Bank Account Number: 2925576702 Egerton University Laikipia Campus. Application forms can also be downloaded from the website: http://www.egerton.ac.ke, the downloaded application must be accompanied by application fee receipt.
