Newly Enforced KWS National Park Charges In Kenya

Kenya tourism sector has undergone changes recently in January 2014, following the introduction of the 16% VAT on tourism services which marked increase in conservation fees. This led to increased park rates including:

Entry Fee to National Parks in Kenya

The entry charges at Amboseli National Park in Kenya and Nakuru National Park in Kenya are USD 90 per person per night and USD 55 per child per night. The entry charges to Meru National Park in Kenya and Kora National park in Kenya are USD 75 per person per night and USD 40 per child per night. The entry charges to Nairobi National park in Kenya are USD 50 per person per night and USD 25 per child per night. The charges at Tsavo West National Park in Kenya and Tsavo East National Park in Kenya are USD 75 per person per night and USD 40 per child per night.

The newly introduced 16% VAT charges on entry to National parks in Kenya, National reserves in Kenya and National sanctuaries in Kenya took effect as from January 2014, after being enacted in September 2013. Location of National Parks and Game Reserves in Kenya

Meru National Park in Kenya is about 350 Km from Nairobi city in the East of Meru town. Meru National park in Kenya and Kora National Park in Kenya are found on River Tana basin. Kora National Park is much bigger than Meru National Park and it is a national park located in Tana River County in Kenya. Kora National Park in Kenya is 280 km towards the north-east of Nairobi city and can be access through Thika to Mwingi road, then north-east through Kyuso village in Kenya. A bridge across the Tana River in Kenya joins Kora National Park with Meru National Park in Kenya. Nakuru National park is located in Kivu Estate in Nakuru. Nakuru National Park can be accessed using matatu bordered from Shell Petrol Station stage in Nakuru that ply the Flamingo route via Kivu Estate.

Nairobi National Park in Kenya is located 10km South of Nairobi City Center on Langata Road and Mbagathi Road. To get to Nairobi National Park, you board a matatu to Langata Road number 15 in bus station stage in Nairobi or take a taxi. Amboseli National Park in Kenya is located in Loitoktok part of the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. Amboseli National Park is accessed from Nairobi city through Namanga, and it is 240 km on the Nairobi - Arusha Road, via Meshanani Gate. The other road from Nairobi that can be used to access Amboseli National Park is via Emali and it is 228 km on the Nairobi - Mombasa Road. Well come to Kenya.
