Kenya premier league is now gaining fame and we are witnessing many people attending stadiums during football matches which are a show of how Kenyans are supporting their football league. Kenyans are also buying products from football clubs such as jackets, jersey, and caps hence contributing to the growth of football clubs in Kenya.

The current premier league of Kenya is known as tusker premier league and has sixteen (16) clubs on the top flight. It usually begins in February every year and end around November. Each football club in Kenya has a stadium for its home matches. The stadium for the football clubs in Kenya include:

  • Mathare United – Nyayo National stadium in Nairobi is the home ground for this club and has a capacity of 30,000. This club is based in Mathare, Nairobi.
  • Sofapaka – Nyayo National stadium is the current stadium used for home matches by Sofapaka and has a capacity of 30,000. This club is based in Nairobi.
  • Tusker FC – Moi international sports center, Kasarani is the home ground stadium for this club and has a capacity of 60,000. This club is based in Nairobi.
  • AFC Leopards – Nyayo National stadium is their home ground stadium and has a capacity of 30,000 people.
  • Gor Mahia – Nairobi city stadium is the stadium used by this club for home matches. It is based in Nairobi city. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 people.
  • KCB (Kenya commercial bank sports club) – this club is based in Nairobi and Nairobi city stadium is their home ground stadium. This stadium has a capacity of 15,000 people.
  • Sony sugar – it is a football club that is based in Awendo and green stadium, Awendo is the stadium used for home matches. It has a capacity of 5,000 people.
  • Chemelil sugar – this is a football club in Kenya that is based in Chemelil town and chemelil sports complex is their stadium for home matches. It has a capacity of 5000 people.
  • Thika United – this football club is based in Thika town and Thika municipal stadium is the stadium it uses for its home matches. It has a capacity of 5000 people.
  • Ulinzi stars – this is a football club that is based in Nakuru and uses Afraha stadium for its home matches. This stadium has a capacity of 8200 people.
  • KRA (Kenya revenue authority) football club – it is based in Nairobi and it uses public service ground as home ground matches.
  • Top fry Nakuru – this club is based in Nakuru town and Afraha stadium is their home ground stadium. It has a capacity of 8200 people.
  • Muhoroni Youth – it is a club from Muhoroni and uses Nyayo national stadium for their home matches. This stadium has a capacity of 30000 people.
  • Western stima – this club is based in kakamega town. Their home ground is Bukhungu stadium but they play their home matches temporarily in mumias sport complex.
  • Bandari – it is from Mombasa and uses Mbaraki sports club for their home ground matches. It has a capacity of 5000 people.
  • Nairobi City star – it is based in Nairobi and their home matches are played at Hope Center, Kawangware, Nairobi. This stadium has a capacity of 5000 people.
