Kenya youth service scholarships, this academic scholarship is accessible for undergraduate both continuing and those joining first year, the scholarship has given a special consideration for those taking early childhood education, the scholars gets full sponsorship including meals and accommodation, the government initiative is meant to compliment the quality of basic education in Kenya. The program develops strong professionals in the field of education to meet the raising need for trained teachers.

The Ministry of Education has collaborated with Teachers Service Commission to ensure this scholarship program bears good fruits. The applicants are required to provide a fully filled sponsorship application form, provide a DEOs recommendation letter for those in service and attach copies of relevant documents. There is a committee who selects the candidates and notifies them.

Aga Khan University Scholarships, the program offers scholarship to those who have interest of taking their Masters Degree in education, the program takes a period of two years and it’s a full time study, the classes for this program start in the month of November. The applicants should be employed either by Teachers Service Commission or private sector. They should be teachers of English, Mathematics, Science and Social studies; they should be holding a leadership position in their career. Applicants should apply for a paid study leave and have their application processed through Teachers Service Commission.

The applicants in the private sector can fail to apply through their employer; they should be willing to further their studies in English, Mathematics, Social, Geography and History. All the applicants should be fluent in English, hold a Bachelors Degree not below 2nd class honors upper division. Before the candidates are selected for this program they must do an oral interview and English proficiency test.

USIU Academic Scholarships, the institution has been offering numerous scholarships over the years, Kenyan citizens interested in taking undergraduate programs in Journalism and Psychology, International relations, Accounting, Business Administration, Hotel Management, Criminal justice and Counseling. The college has categories of their scholarship program: Freshmen scholarship is offered to top 8 best students in each province, the scholarship offers 25% of the tuition fees. The second scholarship is Full USIU scholarships, this program covers not more than 2 students each academic year, the student is given 100% scholarship on the tuition fees, it also covers meals, books and computer lab charges. The student is only responsible for their medical expenses and students body registration fees. The student must be financially needy and must have scored a minimum grade of B+ in KCSE.

Cfc Stanbic Bank Academic Scholarship, the banking institution has collaborated with USIU to 4 needy and bright students each year, the applicants must have scored a minimum KCSE grade of B (plain) with C+ in English and Mathematics. The student must be interested in pursuing one of the following Bachelors Degree: Accounting, Information Technology or Business Administration. The two firms pay for the entire tuition fee including medical, library and students body fees. Interviews are conducted in the month of June and the selected students notified in the month of August. The applicant must submit application letter, copies of academic certificates or transcripts which have been certified by the head teacher. The application must be accompanied by a letter from the head teacher detailing your background, the telephone contacts which can reach you and a email address, the degree you will pursue and good reason why you should be considered for the scholarship.
