Established in 1996 Chartered in 2011 by the commission of higher education, Mount Kenya University, is a university in Kenya that offers a bachelor of degree in medical laboratory sciences. With the availability of well equipped labs and technicians, students are assured of having the best training at an affordable price. The students are trained under various departments, like;

Admission criteria

  • Individuals who are interested are however required to meet certain criteria in order to pursue medical laboratory science as a career, they include;
  • Holder of KCSE certificate, minimum aggregate c+ and either a b in biology or chemistry
  • C- in mathematics or physics or B- in biological sciences or B- in physical sciences
  • Holder of higher national diploma or professional certificate in a relevant discipline from recognized institution
  • A minimum aggregate grade of C+ in KCSE with a minimum of C+ in mathematics /physics, English, biology and chemistry.
  • A minimum of a C grade in KCSE coupled with a diploma in medical laboratory sciences from a recognized institution
