   Education is the key of success in life.Many Kenyans have realized the value of education and since employment in the country is very competitive and due to the need of qualified skilled personnels,Kenya is an advancing country in providing quality education to students and meeting the need of skilled professionals in the country.

   The Technology Development Centre(TDC) is one of the institutions that has taken into consideration the essence of technical and industrial education. It is a public institution which was established in 2009 at    AthiRiver,30 km from Nairobi ,Eastern province along the Nairobi-Namanga highway to the right opposite the Export Processing Zone(EPZ),near Kenya Power company.It was established to cater for industrial and technical training education by the National Industrial Training Authority(NITA) under ministry of labour and human development The project was sponsored by the republic of Korea by University of Korea of Technology and Development.The Technology Development Centre is committed to excellence in industrial and technical training.

The Technology Development Centre offers both diplomas and certificates and there are several courses offered which include:

  • Diploma in Electrical and Electronics engineering(electrical and electronics-power option)
  • Certificate in Mechanical engineering(mechanical engineering-production option)
